It’s finally the middle of the week, we are halfway there to the weekend! Yay! Dreaded Monday and Tuesday are gone- see ya, sayonara! I don’t know about you, but I not only get tired of the long office hours, but also of the drab wardrobe that comes with it. I always struggle to find work or school appropriate clothes (that I actually want to cover my body in). Adding to that challenge is when I have to go straight to dinner with friends, or I have something else fun to do that night. I don’t want to wear the same old, boring pant/skirt suit again, do you? So when I found this lacey, silky blouse, I knew I had finally found a winner.
Here is a close up of the blouse from the other night. I layered it with a blazer for the day, and went without it that evening.
As my blazer came off, I threw on an edgy, black tiered choker to give this top a little more personality. I wore jeans (my new favorites btw, more about that in a second) but you could easily make do with any type or style black pant or skirt.
Ok, now to my favorite new piece in my wardrobe- my jeans. The ones I am wearing pictured above, are from a new brand called Moussy (pronounced mousē). What makes this brand unique is structure and fit of the denim. They come in several different styles and fits, ranging from stiff to comfort and relaxed. The ones I am in, the Latrobe Distressed Skinny, are the comfort fit- believe me you need a pair of these! They stretch a bit as you wear them, but not near as much as other brands that fall or sag throughout the day. Another bonus- they never lose shape, and as I have worn them multiple times now, I never have need to was them. Shhhh. But seriously, how great is that?! The distressed detailing of the denim is what caught my eye, but if that’s not your thing, this brand makes an identical pair without the rips.
