Hi guys! I was back in Cabo for two weeks to celebrate the New Year, and wanted to share what I worse while I was there. It was so much fun taking time to relax, unwind, and prep for the crazy next few months with my family and friends! A large group (11 of us) went to Esperanza Resort- which I have been going to since I was 3 years old… oh those were the days, lol!!
Normally when I go to Cabo, I pack 3 cute outfits, a couple of swim suits, and the rest is all comfy clothes. I always dress up when I go out or travel, but Cabo is the one place where I rarely wear a stitch of makeup, style my hair, or put something besides sweats on. So on the rare occasion that I get dressed up, I always go for something beachy and casual, except this time, ha! Because we were with a bunch of people, we went out a lot for day outings and late dinners, so I was forced to put nicer clothes on (poor me, right?), just kidding! Don’t let the sunglasses and ponytail fool you though- I was still lazy with the makeup and hair!
Sadly, I did not get to capture shots of all my outfits. By the time we left the pool/beach and were dressed for dinner, it was already dark out… and I might have run late a few times! But I’ll stop babbling now- here are the outfits that I wore while I was in Cabo!
New Year’s Eve:

This sequin jacket is ah-maz-ing and sparkles every time the light hits it! The fit is tailored, but my favorite part about this standout piece is the satin-like lining on the inside, so it does not itch or snag onto your other clothes. I changed into a simple, black mini-slip dress later on (the same dress I wore under the third outfit), with this jacket on top since I was burning up after dinner. Although most likely it is not 85 degrees in late December where y’all are, so I think this black denim accentuates the fabulousness of this jacket!

A dress is the easiest way to look like you tried, when really there was no thought behind styling an outfit since it’s all one piece! Velvet has definitely been a recurring trend for a while now, and I am a huge fan! The softest fabric ever + wrinkle proof + super flattering… need I say more?

For this dinner outfit, I wore this silky slip styled romper and palm printed chunky heels. This might be one of my favorite belts I have ever owned, as it is so unique but still goes with so may outfits! It can dress up anything from a white & denim combo to a little black dress or romper.

I did a separate blog post earlier on in my trip about this star mini dress! I love the sheer star + body-con combo, and got so many questions asking me where it was from. This dress was so cute, it even made up for the saltwater infused ponytail, the lack of black heels I forgot to pack, and the not so there makeup. (The solid black dress underneath the sheer slip was what I wore with the sparkly sequin jacket from above later on New Year’s Eve.)
