I apologize in advance for the amount of times I am about to say “trend” in this post! But have you seen any of the drool worthy street style outfits from New York, London, Milan, or Paris fashion week lately? Or are loads of skinny sunnies, stripes, designer logos, and pastels filling up your social media feeds? Well if you haven’t- *spoiler alert*- these are all “in” for this upcoming spring and summer. Although we see these fabulous “ready to wear” looks from the top designer’s runways, most of them aren’t really ready to wear in everyday life. (Or they could just cost more than my own life itself!)

Instead, I took inspiration from these trends and tried to incorporate them into my daily outfits. A trend I’m dying for is pastels! Softer shades are blowing up for spring, think lavender, muted yellows, and delicate pinks and blues. I had completely forgotten about this blush trench coat hanging in my closet from years ago, so this gave me the perfect excuse to experiment!

I wanted to make this trench the statement of my outfit, so I wore a cream knit with these black jeans. The denim material is sooosooo comfy, and I’m absolutely obsessed with the contrasting stripes on the side. You’ve probably seen a bunch of these different striped denim/pant styles, but Topshop always wins the game for me when it comes to wearable, trendy denim. I love that they have petite, regular, and tall fit options, because with these short legs, it can be a challenge sometimes, haha! I threw on my new aviators from Forever 21, and when I was walking out the door I saw this pink baker boy cap I had just gotten from H&M. Maybe this is a littleee much, but ahh it matched perfectly with my pink coat! Sorry, I just had to go for it!

I can definitely see myself incorporating pastels and stripes into some of my everyday looks. I feel like both of these trends are super wearable and versatile, and I’m sure I’ll be wearing loads of different versions of both of these styles in the near future! So would you try out any of these trends? Stay tuned for more!
